The North Station is the oldest preserved station in Krefeld. It was built in 1870 and was used, among other things, to transport goods for the silk weaving mills in the surrounding area: in the 3rd class, the weavers could take raw silk from Krefeld and bring finished woven products back to the silk companies.

Today there are at least two reasons to visit the North Station. Since 1991 you can find a good restaurant with its own brewery here. And the Schluff museum train, which connects St. Tönis with Hülser Berg, stops at the platform.
