Two boundary stones stand, almost like graves, on the ridgeline leading up to Waun Fach. There are several others around this area of the Black Mountains. It's not entirely clear why these were necessary, but they date back to 1796 when Mr John and Mrs Mary Macnamara purchased the Llangoed estate. There appears to have been some dispute about the extent of the estate, and these stones were installed due to this.
