    Villa Borbone is located in Viareggio on Viale dei Tigli, in the center of the Bourbon estate, also known as archducal because it passed by inheritance to the Habsburg-Lorraine family.

    The noble building, surrounded by a large park, was built in the nineteenth century on the project of the architect Lorenzo Nottolini for the Duchess of Lucca, Maria Luisa di Borbone.

    The building, despite having undergone continuous and significant alterations since the early years of its construction and throughout the nineteenth century, looks like a palace with a calibrated and balanced shape, suited to a country residence. In fact, the villa was never an official residence: it was used first as a hunting lodge, then as a manor house of an agricultural estate and finally as a holiday home, with a now bourgeois spirit.
