High-quality building material has been mined in the Klöch basalt quarry for 88 years. The story began in 1934 when Count Barthold Stürgk founded the factory. This long mining history plays a major role in the region. The cornerstone for this is the Klöcher basalt - also known as "the gravel with the power of the volcanoes".
