Tips
The town experienced what was probably the blackest day in its history on August 20, 1907, when most of the buildings in the old town center fell victim to a fire. The fire triggered a wave of helpfulness: Darmsheim was supported by everything from King Wilhelm to the Socialist International. The reconstruction of the town set standards: the architecture is still captivating today, and the following generations were left with an outstanding heritage with a high monument value.
