Hiking
The part with the chain is slightly exposed (though not really high), but well protected and not too difficult. Along the route are several sections requiring grade II climbing, not too difficult, never very long, but make sure you are up to it and otherwise better choose the stairs. If you like to scramble a bit this is definitely the way nicer route up to Ulriken.
