Village perched on a rocky outcrop and surrounded by ramparts. Much appreciated by artists, there is notably the Maeght Foundation, which houses an important collection of paintings and sculptures from the 20th century.

Saint-Paul-de-Vence is a busy medieval town with well-preserved fortifications. These were built in 1537-1547 under King Francis I, for which 700 houses were demolished. The affected residents were resettled in the newly created neighboring town of La Colle.

Many artists and craftsmen settled in Saint-Paul-de-Vence in the 20th century, including Marc Chagall, who moved here in 1966 and left several works in the town where he lived for around 20 years, such as his painting Ma Vie (" My life") and his mosaic on the theme of Les Amoureux ("Lovers") in the Fondation Maeght, as well as another mosaic from 1986 on the pediment of the parish school, created on the basis of an original drawing by Chagall. The artist, who died in 1985, is buried in the local cemetery.

A beautiful circuit in the Villeneuve hinterland. 44 km with beautiful hills to go from Villeneuve Loubet to Saint Paul de Vence, Vence, Saint Jeannet, La Gaude, Saint Laurent du Var, the seaside and back to Villeneuve.
