Cycling through Giethoorn is definitely worth it. Giethoorn is located in the middle of the Weerribben-Wieden National Park, one of the largest wetlands in the Netherlands, and offers cyclists numerous routes through a breathtaking nature reserve. The paths lead you along quiet canals, vast reed fields and marshes, where you can admire the local flora and fauna, including water birds and perhaps even a curious heron.

They had told me I would find it full of tourists but it wasn't like that.. A quiet and peaceful place in a very unique setting with narrow navigable canals and beautiful thatched-roof houses. The "Dutch Venice" is worth visiting by bike
