The Selztal cycle path is a 65 km long cycle path and leads from the source of the Selz in Orbis through Rheinhessen to the confluence with the Rhine at Ingelheim. It runs partly on or next to the former “Amiche” and “Zuckerlottche” railway lines through the hilly Rheinhessian hilly landscape, which is characterized by viticulture.

What is it about everything that is reported about the Selztal? Why is the Selztal cycle path considered an insider tip by connoisseurs? The answer must be explored. Just so much in advance: footwork like this makes you happy, and cycling in the Selztal is pure relaxation. The only “problem”: you want to stop and embrace the landscape all the time. Gentle hills as far as the eye can see, plus vineyards, meadow landscapes, paddocks and orchards with old varieties. You automatically shift down a gear.
