Best Hikes to Blockheide Nature Park Granite Boulders and Observation Tower

Tips

  • Nice excursion destination in the border area, with lots of information about the boulders (wobbling stones) and of course about the 15th eastern longitude, which runs here. A station has also been set up for fans of the Celtic tree circle. Themed trails of various lengths and only slight differences in altitude, so no increased fitness requirements. Entrance from Gmünd or Eibenstein, there are enough parking spaces. You can hike at any time, only the shop, exhibition and observation tower have opening hours. Everything is closed in bad weather. More information at: blockheide.at/index.php/home.html.

  • June 27th, 2020 - Wonderful hike in nature. The nature park is lovingly cared for and offers beautiful and well-marked paths. With a lot of photo opportunities. Admission is free. € 3.50 for the observation tower which opens at 10.00 - with the NÖ-Card the visit and the ascent are free.
