Lara de los Infantes is a small town in the province of Burgos. It has a Romanesque church, the Church of Our Lady of the Nativity, and, on top of a hill, are the ruins of a medieval castle. Legend has it that Fernán González, the first independent count of Castile, was born and grew up in this castle.
