The Olivetan Benedictine Abbey of Rodengo Saiano is one of the most famous religious complexes in Franciacorta. Founded in 1090, it is named after San Nicola and since 2019 also after Paul VI, a saint from Brescia to whom this place was so dear.

Benedictine abbey in Franciacorta with its 3 cloisters from the 1400s, 1500s and 1600s respectively and artistic masterpieces inside, it is worth a visit. Inhabited by Olivetan monks, it is also a pilgrimage destination along "the sisters' path", a path of approximately 130 km which connects Brescia and Bergamo passing over 30 municipalities, including Rodengo Saiano and its beautiful Abbey.
