From the plain near Goday, after the long climb from the direction of Conthey, you can continue up towards the mountain peaks in four directions. One of these paths leads to Lac de Derborence. A beautiful mountain lake, which, especially in autumn, together with the snow-covered peaks and the golden larches, creates an absolutely impressive picture.

Tables and benches at Lac de Derborence invite you to linger. You can enjoy a delicious meal at the Refuge du Lac Derborence. There is a large car park just a few minutes' walk from the lake. Of the four dead-end roads mentioned, this is definitely the most visited.
