In a positive sense, this cycle path fulfills all the clichés of a riverside cycle path. Good cycle paths on the French side, the calm river and location as well as the vegetation create a different mood than that originally intended by the navigability. Recommended.

A towpath, which runs alongside the river or canal, was an essential part of the transport infrastructure in earlier times. Before ships could move using motor power, horses ran along the bank and pulled the ship against the current.
