The striking bronze Fools' Fountain in the shape of a ship placed at the guild house refers to the various figures and groups of the traditional Bräunlinger Fasnacht and bears witness to the importance of foolery throughout the year. The fountain designed in 2004 by the Hüfinger artist Bernhard Wintermantel refers to the moral satire 'Das Narrenschiff', the bestseller by the Basel lawyer, town clerk and satirist Sebastian Brant from 1494, and shows the different facets of the Bräunlinger Fasnacht (Brielingen Fasnet) on an equal footing.Source: braeunlingen-tourismus.de/braeunlingen-sehensw/narrenbrunnen
