Piccard Brücke: built in 2016, the 139-meter suspension bridge spans the Gurgler Ache, named after August Piccard, who on 27 May 1931 had an emergency landing on the Gurgler Glacier in a stratospheric balloon. The Ramolhaus - Piccard Brücke - Langtalereckhütte section was classified as difficult for reasons I do not understand. In fact, it was relatively easy, and the average teenager would handle it without any problems. The bridge replaces the old trail crossing the Gurgler Ferner glacier moraine and significantly shortens the path between the Ramolhaus and Langtalereckhütte huts
