Otawa is located at the confluence of the Fox River and the Illinois River. The county to which the city belongs, comes from the name of the French discoverer and explorer Jean de La Salle, who claimed Louisiana on behalf of the King of France in the 1660s. Very beautiful monuments, wooded parks, and beautiful houses are visible in the city center.
