Europe's first nutcracker museum in Neuhausen was founded in 1994 by the Löschner family. There are currently 4,400 different nutcrackers from 30 countries on display. The oldest pieces date from the 17th century. Attractions: The world's largest functioning wooden nutcracker at 10.10 m, the smallest functioning nutcracker at 4.9 mm and 9 mm, the world's largest music box nutcracker suite (plays every hour on the hour from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.). The museum has a specialist shop for original Erzgebirge folk art items and a museum shop, where drinks and small snacks are offered in addition to souvenirs.
