If you drive from Mondsee or Oberwang / Straß direction Aichereben, there is the small and cozy Gasthaus Waldfrieden. From there it is then 10 minutes to the highest point in Aichereben, which offers a view of the mountains Höllengebirge and in the background the Traunstein. If you want to look it up: aichereben.at shows that. Further down: the view over the northern Attersee is terrific, on the descent then change the views and the southern part of the lake (near Unterach) is almost fully in view.
Beautiful old and new houses and old farms are scattered on the hillside.
