Cycle and walking path on the route of the derelict Derby and Sandiacre canal. Nice flat route but with varying quality surface. The eastern end is excellent tarmac, the central portion fairly rocky and the western part old tarmac.

Surface is currently (autumn 2020) being upgraded with new tarmac planned throughout as part of a major investment in a cycle route linking Derby and Nottingham.
A small section of the original canal is being remade (with water) and the path will run alongside this canalised section - currently the surface is loose stone but I'm hopeful it will be improved later.
