The Rina and Nino Sgarbi Historical Pharmacy of Ro Ferrarese is classified "of ancient law", since its establishment is prior to the Pontifical States' system promulgated on November 15, 1837.
However, the first certain information dates back to 14 June 1852 and appears in a private writing with which Luigi Mantovani and the brothers Ippolito and Giovanni ceded the right to pharmacy, exercised in the locality of Zocca, to Alessandro Mari for the sum of "metal Roman shields five hundred ".
