Hiking

The municipality of Ora with around 3,500 inhabitants is located at 240 m asl. in the South Tyrolean Unterland. From here the Dolomitenstraße leads to the nearby Val di Fiemme. The old village center, which is well worth seeing, is located above the main street and is characterized by narrow, crooked streets, which are delimited by around 2 m high natural stone walls. The parish church is the Marienkirche in Oberdorf, and at the southern end of the village is the old Peterskirche, which is characterized by Romanesque and Gothic style elements.
