Hot Creek is considered one the the best fly fisheries in the country. The upper part of the creek is home to the first warm water hatchery in the state, just below the hatchery is an Interpretative Site and two miles down stream is the Hot Creek Geological Site.

Due to inconsistencies in the water temperature swimming is no longer allowed at Hot Creek.
