Of medieval origin, this square is one of the nerve centers of the city of Berga, especially as it is the scene of the Patum de Berga, a festival declared an intangible asset by UNESCO in 2005.In the square is the town hall building and the Baroque-style parish church of Santa Eulàlia, built on the site of the old church of Sant Pere. The square is also known as the burnt square, since it was burned down in the 17th century by the French.
