Set on the shores of Mjåvatnet, Mjåvasshytta is a self-service DNT cabin that has welcomed hikers for more than a century. Guests can use canoes and a rowing boat on the lake, while the well-stocked pantry makes it a comfortable base for exploring the Austheiene mountains.
Overnight stays can be booked online, although a number of drop-in beds are kept available for hikers arriving without a reservation. More information and booking: hyttebestilling.dnt.no/hytte/10587
