The Patio de Comedias in Torralba de Calatrava is a large architectural complex that offers various spaces adapted to the realization of multiple cultural events. The large patio has a capacity of 320 removable seats.
There are documents that support that in this place plays and puppet shows were held until the end of the 19th century, the first data of theatrical activity in this complex date back to the Renaissance, in 1578. This renovated stage space was declared a Site of Cultural Interest in 2004. In September 2010, it was inaugurated and since then it has had a very consolidated program, especially during the summer months from June to September. Highlights include the Music Cycle and the International Festival of Theater and Puppets that bear its name.
