This place is unfortunately known as the only Luxembourg internment camp for Jews during World War II. From 1941 the religious community was expelled by the occupier. The monastery became a gathering place for Jews. It was the last station before deportation to the eastern concentration camps. By June 1943, more than 300 Jews were temporarily accommodated in this monastery. In 1969 a memorial monument was inaugurated.
