The parish church was first mentioned in 851, and a lot has changed since then. The architectural style of the church changed from Gothic to Baroque. It is definitely worth taking a look inside the church. Until 1788, the church was home to an Augustinian monastery, whose brothers live according to the rules of Saint Augustine.

The history of the church goes back to the year 851, when a parish church in Waldsee was first mentioned. In 1181, an Augustinian canonry was established at the church. The current church was built in 1479 as a Gothic, three-aisled basilica. From 1709, both the exterior and interior of the basilica were given a baroque makeover. The nave was extended to the west in 1765 and completed with the two mighty double towers. The monastery existed until 1788. Source: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stiftskirche_St._Peter_(Bad_Waldsee) p.s.
