Here you get a great insight into the traditional life and work of the inhabitants of this area. History to touch in the truest sense of the word: So you can, for example, grab for the hammer - especially for children an impressive experience.

In the open-air museum many highlights await you, such as the village smithy, the bakery, the wheelwright, the village school and the Moorbahn. The museum is open from March to October from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 to 17.30. Admission is 3.5 euros for adults and 1.5 euros for children.

Excerpt from the website of the Dörpmuseum:

We offer you the opportunity to gain an insight into the life and work of the inhabitants of a small moorland village in the past few days.

The Dörpmuseum Münkeboe is a hands-on museum. Here you can literally grasp with your hands the power a blacksmith had to use to make tools and tools out of red hot iron. Grab a blacksmith's hammer and let the anvil "sing". On the working days, the "old" craftsmen will assist you with advice and assistance.

With the exception of the mill, our museum is accessible for the disabled.

But also on the other opening days (Tuesdays to Sundays from 10.00 to 17.30 clock) worth a visit.

Take a look around and become curious about what you can discover here. Your children will be thrilled too. The Dörpmuseum Münkeboe wishes them a lot of fun.
