Designed by Spence Associates the bridge opened in 2018 at a cost of £133 million.

The bridge is a cable-stayed type standing at 105 meters high, making it the tallest structure in Sunderland.

You can walk under and over the bridge which makes for some fantastic photos from various vantage points.
