The Elm forest in the municipality of Garlstedt and thus in the urban area of Osterholz-Scharmbeck is a mixed forest (Elm = old German for elm) in the north-west of the city center between the municipalities of Garlstedt and Huelseberg. A large number of burial mounds from the younger Bronze Age (approx. 1800 - 700 BC) can be found here and the Garlstedter Lure site was also found in the vicinity. Since 1995, the "Langes Holz" forest nature trail has been inviting visitors to take an informative walk in or on the Elm.
