The lake is considered good fishing waters due to its excellent water quality (since 1969 a ring sewage system has prevented the discharge of domestic waste water). With visibility depths of up to 6 meters and a water quality that comes close to that of drinking water, it is ideal bathing water with a water temperature of up to 24 °C. To maintain the water quality, the use of combustion engines on the lake is only permitted for liner shipping, the police, water rescue, agriculture and forestry.
