The mountain inn on the left invites you for a break before you reach the memorial. This is a memorial to the fallen soldiers during the war years 1914-1918. On the way to the Hünenkapelle we pass on the right hand the Löns monument, which is reminiscent of the nature and local poet. A little further to the Hünenkapelle branches off a narrow path from the main path. A metal plate let into the ground shows us that we are traveling the last meters to the Hünenkapelle on the "Oerlinghauser Meditationsweg". When we arrive at the small building, we pause for a moment and let this mystical place affect us.

Continue past the chapel through the Sachsenlager, an early medieval Wall-Graben-Anlage. Also at this point we have again a fantastic view of the area around the Teutoburg Forest. Shortly afterwards, we come to the Hermannsweg. This well-known hiking trail is often used by hikers, mountain bikers and runners.
