Mi1 route description
The circular tour leads through the beautiful old town of Michelstadt at the beginning and end, so all the culinary highlights and places to stop for refreshments along the way are available. Uphill you use the existing network of forest paths, downhill all parts of the route are laid out and are used exclusively by bikers. It starts with the start at the Bienenmarkt car park and the route leads through the beautiful old town of Michelstadt with all the cafés, restaurants and shops past the historic town hall. You still have to refrain from stopping and stopping in! Michelstadt is left at the cemetery and the first highlights await via the Gräsich past the old limestone quarry: the Kirchberg Trail, past the Stockheimer Eiche to the Kilians Trail - a short, crisp roller coaster ride -, the Hermann Temple with a great view over the Middle Odenwald , the Way of the Cross trail and finally the cattle drive trail down to the parking lot at the forest swimming pool. There now follows a first longer ascent up to the small snake path and the Ritterstein Trail - an almost two-kilometer descent with everything a biker's heart desires: berms, switchbacks, small jumps, sometimes a little faster sections, then slower ones again. Everything is offered here. Now the second, longer uphill is coming up. Passing the Habermannskreuz car park, one of the two alternative starting points, it goes to the highest point of the route at just over 500 meters in altitude. Then fun is announced again, because the following trail segments, only interrupted by two smaller counter climbs, lead back down to the parking lot at the forest swimming pool. The Silvan Trail inspires with a roller coaster-like flow, the following root path really shakes us up, the narrow thing with the blocked Dreggs thing is the section for driving technicians who love an alpine feeling, and the Mühlgrund Trail inspires as a natural pump tracks. A short breather and then the mayor piece follows, absolutely flowing and wonderful to ride, and finally the swimming pool trail, also almost two kilometers long, which conjures up a big grin on the biker's face at the end. It then goes back through the old town, where an ice cream or a cold drink containing hops awaits the bikers as a reward. There are places to rest everywhere
New trail, start at the Habermanns crosses. Basically divided into 3 stages: Part 1: Easy downhill with several really great jumps, in places also into smaller depressions. Beautifully flowing and extremely well-groomed route. Part 2: Uphill in a beautiful setting, the path meanders back up the slope in several easy-to-ride bends. Part 3: Another easy downhill with some tighter curves than in part 1, especially the last jump just before the forest path at the end of the Ritterstein ends quite abruptly before a curve, don't start too fast here!
