Tips
Visit this wonder of the natural world where you will see the ever-growing cliffs and mounds of petrified moss. As a natural underground spring overflows upstream of the Tufa field it seeps out of the ground where moss begins to grow. As the moss extracts carbon dioxide from the flowing water which is rich in calcium carbonate, a biochemical reaction petrifies the moss.
