The Veltheim windmill from 1903 is a Wall-Dutch windmill with sail wings and a compass rose (dummy). Its dark, stone mill tower stands out beautifully in summer against the flowering meadows and fields. If you are cycling along the mill route, you can see the free-standing mill in the flat land from afar. With its dark, stone mill tower, it stands out in summer against the flowering meadows and fields and against the beautiful green backdrop of the Weser Mountains. Its grinding mechanism is now powered by a motor and used for grinding grain for personal use.

A very nice mill. Unfortunately, the seating on both sides of the mill is in the blazing sun, so I decided to take a drink break in the shaded meadow by the wayside.
