The little castle of Eichenzell can look back on more than 700 years of history. The Ebersberger knights were wealthy and settled in Eichenzell very early on. During the interior construction of the castle in 1969 - 1971 it could be proven that around the years 1250 - 1260 the Ebersbergers had a dwelling (tower castle) here. In 1548, from this core work, the small palace was built in its present dimensions.
Today the town hall is housed in the castle.
