This lighthouse can be visited during school vacation periods, weekends and holidays. The lighthouse was built in 1837 on the cliff of Cap de Carteret, by a square tower on a rectangular building in exposed stone masonry. In 1870, two houses for the guards were added. The lighthouse was electrified in 1937 then fully automated in 1976 although it is still guarded today. Partly destroyed by the Germans in 1944, it was restored to the same plan after the war.
