Cyclists can cross the bridge itself on the pedestrian path (although even this is officially closed...). But, especially on the mainland, the road is extremely dangerous to travel until the next junction, because in Croatia, cyclists are simply ignored by car, bus, and truck drivers! There's no shoulder, and motorized vehicles don't keep a safe distance... life-threatening!!!

Road cycling

The height of the bridge is impressive. The tension gaps are interlocking and with 32 road bike tires can only be overcome with luck, pushing, or with bunny hops. With 47s it was no problem. The bridge offers a great experience when leaving the island, when the Bora devastatingly presses you to a standstill despite full power while pedaling out of the saddle. Apart from the life-threatening gusts and heavy holiday traffic.
