Memorial stone to the Roman Via Nova not far from the Roman "military camp" - now only the foundation stones can be seen.
The inauguration of the "asphalted road" took place in the years 79/80 of the 1st century AD, as the first milestones of the route suggest, confirm such a suspicion. In any case, the military establishment does not seem to have lasted beyond the reign of Traianus (98-117), summing up its useful life in that place to barely fifty years.
