The Monastery of Montebello was born in 1380 founded by Beato Pietro Gambacorta from Pisa and with him also the order of the Girolamini was born.
After 600 years, now reduced to ruins, it was raised by Gino Girolomoni and Tullia in forty years. They managed to rebuild it in all its parts: the Church of the SS Trinità, two large halls, the cellars used as a Museum of Ancient Rural Life, the cloister with a well, a cistern and some rooms for guests.
