The most famous trees in the reserve are the group of 180-year-old white poplars. There used to be 12 of them. From time immemorial, local people have always called them "the Twelve Apostles" and this is contrary to the fact that in the early 1960s there were 11 trees in the group, and today there are only 6 left.
