The memorial cross for the 27 Soviet prisoners of war in the Kreuzheide district is a quiet, deeply moving place of remembrance in Wolfsburg. It is hidden on the edge of the forest (the Wohltberg/Stadtwald foothills) and commemorates a dark crime from the final phase of the Second World War.
