It was popularly known as the "New Bridge", although it was built in 1779. We are talking about the former sandstone arch bridge over the Leine. It was demolished in 2002, and today only fragments of the former building can be discovered directly on the Leine cycle path.

I can still remember the bridge, the B 80 ran over it, from Uder to Arenshausen only accessible on one side after the fall of the Berlin Wall and next to it a temporary steel bridge for the opposite direction.
Later everything was torn down and a large bridge built over the rails and the river Leine
