Večka kula is one of a series of Venetian towers built during the 16th century on the Velebitski Canal (northern Dalmatia) to defend against the Turks. The location of the tower was of strategic importance, as an important transport connection to the Zadar hinterland passed here.
The tower was surrounded by a rectangular courtyard, part of which is now below sea level.
