Austria's smallest town between the Inn and the Schlossberg is bursting with cultural treasures. In addition to its medieval charm, the town also has many sights to offer and is also known as the glass town. This name has a long history, as glass art in all its forms has long been a traditional craft in the region.
The Augustinermuseum Rattenberg is not only worth a visit because of its historical art treasures, but also has the only church tower in the whole of Tyrol that is open to the public. This half-timbered tower offers a first-class view of medieval Rattenberg and impresses with its historic bells and baroque tower clock. One of the most beautiful viewing points in Rattenberg can be found high up on the Schlossberg. It is only about a 15-minute walk from the town center. You will be rewarded with a magnificent view of Rattenberg and the Inn Valley. Once you reach the top, you can also admire the castle ruins and the legendary Bienerturm. In summer, the Schlossberg is also the venue for the Rattenberg Schlossbergspiele.
