The bridge cannot be crossed between Ojtoberund April as it is a wildlife sanctuary for red deer. The animals are additionally fed and should have a retreat in this area during the winter.
From this point on, the Rißbach is just a trickle, because shortly after the German/Austrian border, the creek is diverted into the tunnel to the Walchensee power plant.
