The fortress was built from the 11th to the 15th century around a Carolingian chapel. Its role was to defend Cluny Abbey. The building retains its entire defensive system with two keeps and 11 towers.
Superbly preserved, you can enjoy the three enclosures, a catering service and a picnic area.
