The church in Karwów was built in the second half of the 13th century. It was a hall-type building, built on a rectangular plan measuring 12.7 x 6.5 m. The church was built of granite blocks. It was thoroughly rebuilt in 1896. At that time, a tower was built at the western corner of the northern elevation. The original early Gothic portal has been preserved, the entire eastern elevation and all window openings come from the period of the 19th century reconstruction. The interesting neo-Gothic tower came from that time. Square on the ground floor, octagonal above, topped with a conical dome. The original equipment included: tin altar candlesticks from 1681, 34 cm high, a three-armed bronze candlestick and a baptismal bowl cast in brass with a diameter of 34.5 cm. On its base was a scene with the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The bowl was founded in 1703 by the von Wetzel family. The church was damaged in April 1945, because its tower was used as an observation post for German troops, and then fell into ruin.
