Plitvička Jezera (Plitvice Lakes) National Park is the oldest and largest national park in the Republic of Croatia, known for its string of blue-green lakes separated by tufa stones. This karst area is characterized by specific hydrology and a very pronounced biodiversity, which is why the national park also made an international name for itself.

In terms of biodiversity, Plitvička jezera National Park is one of the most valuable areas in Croatia, where a significant part of the population of many nationally and globally endangered species still has well-preserved habitats.

    Conclusion:

Fantastic nature (waterfalls, lakes, etc.) great paths,

    paths of different lengths.

You should pay attention to good shoes.

    Definitely recommendable

A fantastic natural area! Crystal clear water. Well laid out paths but still wear good shoes because some parts are still slippery due to the drought! Very busy in high season! If you have the opportunity to travel out of season I would definitely recommend that. Along the way you will come across a few points where you can go to the toilet and a few small restaurants. Route C you walk 8 kilometers and you pass most of the highligts. On the way you take the boat and bus. Both are included in the entrance price. Enjoy it!
